  Engineering thermoplastics: Brilliantly Adaptable

Some engineering thermoplastics are capable of sustaining considerable loads. These materials are particularly fascinating because their properties can be tailored to specific applications – producing, for instance, a product with both high strength and toughness. By using a suitable combination of fillers it is possible to adjust the relationships between the various properties to suit the specific needs of the application.

Wide bandwidth
Melos’s engineering thermoplastics (ETP) are remarkable for the very wide range of products they make possible.
Whether you need active reinforcing fillers as ex. glasfibre, flame-retardants or materials that are particularly tough - we can always find a suitable product for your needs.

We manufacture compounds on the basis of

Naturally we can also supply all kinds of special solutions.

Possible applications
Engineering plastics are used in modern products in manifold ways. In many applications they take the place of metals, glass or ceramics. Their outstanding electrical properties and high thermal stability make these modified thermoplastics the preferred material of the electrical industry.
