In May this year Melos GmbH hosted the second industry event by the team “Plastics in OWL”. With a workforce of more than 15,000, the plastics processing industry is among the largest employers in the region. The “Plastics in OWL” network consists of the two Chambers of Commerce in Eastern Westphalia and Lippe, the Institute for the Chemistry and Technology of Synthetic Materials at the University of Paderborn, the business development societies for Herford district and the City of Paderborn, and 3 Pi Consulting & Management GmbH.
The event featured presentations on topics such as « “plastic and rubber” as “wanderers between worlds” » and “material recycling, customised recycled polyolefin material”, as well as a site visit to Melos GmbH, and informal networking among delegates.
