Wire 2018, which took place from 16th-20th April in Düsseldorf, was a very successful trade fair. It is the largest trade fair in the cable industry worldwide, and for Melos as a compounder, it is an important platform for maintaining contacts and gaining new national and international Clients.
These five days provided an opportunity for our employees on the stand to impress attendees with our various innovative products.
The creative stand design and the presentation of the new products, e.g. in Arctic applications or in terms of the new CPR requirements, drew crowds to the stand, and the newly acquired Inhol B.V. from the Netherlands, with their special compound portfolio and the PTL test devices for cable testing, were a major attraction.
Also particularly striking was the illustrative presentation about fire prevention given by means of a simulated fire test in accordance with EN 50399 standards for NHXMH cables.
In addition, the feature showcases illustrated the key visuals of major marketing campaigns, "50 Times to the Moon" and "Arctic Compounds for Low Temperatures”.
Business Unit Manager Marcus Hohlweck believes the trade fair week was an all-round positive experience. The tried and tested concept of showing the products not just independently of one another, rather application-oriented, was a complete success. Attendees were enthusiastic about the variety of Melos products and associated opportunities. The concept is planned to be developed further in 2020.
