FSB 2013 - Melos Invitation to Innovation

Melle, October 2013. FSB 2013 – the leading international trade fair for amenity areas, sports and pool facilities – saw 622 companies from 44 countries present their products, services and innovations over 67,000 square meters of space. 25,000 trade visitors from 115 countries used the four-day fair to get up to speed about what is happening in the industry. Melos GmbH, one of the leading international manufacturers of coloured plastic and EPDM rubber granules, presented its portfolio under the slogan “Invitation to Innovation.”

Melos used the fair to showcase its new products to an international audience: from coloured EPDM granules, Infill Bionic Fibre®, the new infill granules for artificial turf, to the long-lasting EPDM Mulch® for surfacing footpaths and play and leisure areas. Infill Bionic Fibre® impresses in particular with the reliability of its tried-and-proven sulphur cross-linked EPDM and organic material form. Thanks to these advantages, the new infill granules have already been used on many artificial pitches this year.  The second innovation, the completely dyed-through EPDM Mulch, also met with a very good response. The new goods offer colour stability and are a completely new form of material based on Melos EPDM.

The new trade fair stand offered visitors 90 m² of space for expert discussions, vivid product presentations and also a customer lounge where culinary delicacies were served. The months of preparation and financial investments paid off: Melos attracted over 30 percent more visitors and interested persons this year than at FSB 2011, far surpassing its expectations.

“The feedback from our customers and trade visitors is exceptional and bears out our decision to invest in new technologies and products,” says Jörg Siekmann, Managing Director of Melos GmbH. "Compared to the competition, we were quick to recognize what the market wanted and translate that into the right products, which is why we achieved excellent results at FSB, especially for our product innovations.” Melos not only presented a new-look stand, but also completed the relaunch of its Internet site www.melos-gmbh.com on time for the fair. It gives visitors an interactive means of obtaining all information relating to the company and its products after the trade fair.
