Sky Bar becomes a green oasis of comfort: with artificial grass, EPDM mulch and the creativity of Melos
The Sky Bar of the Arkona beach hotel in Binz at the Baltic Sea is a place full of character. The location was redesigned in cooperation with the companies AwForge and Melos with high-quality artificial turf and EPDM mulch. The result: an oasis.

Vision becomes reality
The Arkona beach hotel is located directly at the Binzer beach promenade. The popular Sky Bar overlooks the sparkling Baltic Sea and the legendary chalk cliffs. In this unique environment, the outdoor eating area of the Arkona could not be better. The reopening was astounding: the roof surface was divided into various recreation areas as part of the redesign. Everyone has a variety of relaxation options. For example, take the beach chairs in the welcoming grassy landscape and when the hand sinks into the lawn, the difference to natural turf is hard to feel: The high-quality artificial turf is soft and the stalks look natural - meeting the highest demands.
Combination of artificial turf and EPDM mulch
In addition to the high-quality synthetic turf, Melos EPDM mulch was used for paths in between the living areas: the mulch in the beige / brown blend ensures a pleasant, smooth walk and optically harmonises with the natural-looking grass landscape.
