A complete success on the new blue running track in Melle

Last Friday, Melle was all about sport: the first Melos Games took place to mark the opening of the new blue running track. The event, organized by Melos GmbH in collaboration with the city of Melle and SC Melle 03, attracted numerous sports enthusiasts and onlookers.

Celebrity support and top sporting performances
The well-known TV sports presenter legend Tom Bartels, who comes from Melle, professionally hosted the day. After the official opening speeches by Melos Managing Director Marco Schröder, SC Melle 03 President Gottfried Müller and Leader of Sports Department Mareike Mons from the town of Melle, the sporting competitions began.
The teams from Melos, SC Melle 03 and the town of Melle competed against each other in eight varied disciplines, including running, throwing and jumping competitions. In the end, SC Melle 03 came out on top with 127 points, followed by the town of Melle with 101 points and Melos with 93 points.
More than just sport: a celebration for the community
In addition to the exciting competitions, there was also a large supporting program for the whole family. A bouncy castle, a bungee run and XXL soccer darts provided plenty of fun for young and old alike.
The high-quality sports facility itself deserves special mention. The running track was equipped by Polytan with the Rekortan M system. The special feature: The granules in the world-famous Hertha blue color come from Melos. The facility is also equipped with Polytan SMART, an intelligent system for time measurement and data analysis, which makes the running track one of the most modern in the region.
Marco Schröder, Managing Director of Melos GmbH, sums up the day: "The Melos Games were a great example of how sport can bring people together. We are delighted that we were able to make a contribution to this unique community project."
